Barrel Aged CoffeeUpdated 10 days ago
Coffee Ingredients:
Guatemala medium dark roast beans
Coffee Notes:
Small batch coffee carefully aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels roasted in Louisville, KY by Good Folks Coffee
We age the green coffee in the barrels. We measure moisture content throughout the process and have some markers that we look for before sample roasting and verifying the coffee is ready to be roasted for Pappy & Company. The time that the green coffee spends in the barrel before we roast it is the “aging” process, and then the coffee is freshly roasted and shipped.
Coffee doesn’t really spoil, although it is best to use within a couple months of roasting. Many roasters put a 1 year expiry on the coffee. Make sure the coffee is stored air tight and away from heat and sunlight.
